The Housing Provider Resource Center (HPRC) is a newly formed pilot program that will support small property owners in unincorporated Alameda County.
The East Bay Rental Housing Association (EBRHA) In partnership with the Rental Housing Association of Southern Alameda County (RHASAC) and the Berkeley Property Owners Association (BPOA), have formed the Rental Housing Collaborative (RHC) to lead this pilot project. EBRHA will serve as Program Administrator, ensuring the center offers comprehensive services to qualifying property owners.
This collaboration builds on the organizations’ expertise in rental housing management and past partnerships with government agencies. By leveraging existing infrastructure and relationships, RHC aims to support property owners and renters alike, addressing issues such as housing disputes and payment challenges, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic.
With a strong track record of working with over 2,500 rental property owners managing nearly 70,000 units in Alameda County, HPRC is well-positioned to execute and expand this initiative, ensuring accessible and secure housing while fostering a knowledgeable and supported rental housing community.
HPRC Program objectives include:
- State and County Rental Housing Laws Guidance: Compliance requirements and property owner and renter rights.
- One-on-one Personal Consultations: in-person, phone, virtual (Zoom), web chat, and email.
- Community Events: pop-ups, community mixers, large signature events, virtual (Zoom).
- Resource Navigation – The funding, financing, professional services, repair, maintenance, property management, county and city programs, etc.
